Using existing command scripts

Existing command scripts can be executed in several ways. First, you can create a new session by doube clicking on a file name with one of the extensions associated with EPICURE.  These extensions are:

.amf        AMFIT (analysis of rates or Poisson regression for count data)

.gbo or .pcn GMBO/PECAN (conditional or unconditional logistic regression analyses or analyses of proportions)

.pnt        PEANUTS (semi-parametric partial-likelihood analysis of individual cohort or case-cohort survival data)

.dtb        DATAB (creating person-year/rate tables or event-count tables)

You can also open EPICURE by double clicking on an EPICURE data (BSF) file.  In this case you will be prompted for the module to use and then prompted on how to process the data.

If you open EPICURE without specification of script file, you can use the File/New Analysis/Read Script menu to open an existing script.  If a script is open and you want to run commands from another script file, you can use the input redirection command < or the File/Use Script File/Run … menu item to open and execute the commands in the script of interest.  The File/Use Script File/Include in Current menu item can be used to insert commands from an existing script into the current script without executing them immediately.
