This chapter presents several examples that demonstrate the use of DATAB to produce summary tables. Unlike the examples in Data Input, which are applicable in any of the EPICURE programs, the features illustrated here are available only in DATAB. The first series of examples illustrate the use of DATAB to produce a simple table with no person-year computations. Such a table is called an event-count table. The next series of examples demonstrate the production of a table that includes person-years stratified on two time scales. A table that involves time is called an event-time table. The final example in this chapter demonstrates how a table can be collapsed to produce a marginal subtable.
